The slicing action is very smooth and the safety features are top-notch as described. However, even with the one-click disassembly, I found that small bits of onion tend to get stuck in the upper housing. The included brush helps, but it still takes a bit of effort to get it perfectly clean. It’s a great tool, just be prepared for a few minutes of scrubbing.

This slicer is much safer than the old fashioned ones. The adjustable dial is very convenient.
